EP Rinkside Transaction Grades for the 2023 NHL offseason

Welcome to the Elite Prospects 2023 NHL summer transaction live blog.

We'll be providing commentary and grades on most of the stuff that takes place over the next few weeks as the draft approaches and then the free agency window opens.

Who's gonna buy? Who's gonna sell? What will they buy and sell? Will it be worth it? Will it be worthy of derision?

We can find out together.

While I'm not going to commit to commenting on or grading every single transaction all summer (I do not, for example, have a ton of thoughts on Brandon Bussi re-signing with the Bruins unless it ends up being some sort of first domino to drop in some future, bigger transaction), this will be updated routinely throughout the next several weeks, so be sure to check back in every time there's a signing, trade, buyout decision, and more.

One last thing: I'm not going to do a lot of rumor-chasing in this space. That kind of conjecture can get really deep in the weeds really quickly, so while it's extremely funny that everyone wants to leave Calgary, I don't want to get into who could go where and why. It feels like there's gonna be a lot of movement this summer, and besides, there's nothing really there to "grade" in the first place.

Without further ado, let's get to it.
