From USNTDP to Boston College: Smith, Leonard, and Perreault formally add first-round pedigree

NASHVILLE, Tennessee – The recruiting within the locker room wasn’t subtle. 

From small conversations about potential at Boston College, to more nuanced pushes, Will Smith and Ryan Leonard did their part to help get Gabe Perreault over the line to sign, completing a full first-line trifecta of recruits going from the United States National Team Development Program to Massachusetts.

“Maybe a little bit of chit-chat there,” Leonard said.

“I think the more of us wanted to go the more of us wanted to join,” Smith said. “We’ve been around each other every day for two years, so why not take it to the next level?”
