Free Agent Matchmaker: Finding ideal landing spots for remaining UFAs

Every August, a handful of players linger in the free agent market, deserving of NHL contracts. Whether due to lingering injuries, agent miscues, or an overabundance of players in their position, these individuals ultimately find themselves scrambling for professional try-outs or settling for one-year show-me deals, despite often having a track record of consistent performance over the years. Given the notably shallow pool of unrestricted free agents this offseason, the list of intriguing options has inevitably dwindled.
