The Vegas Golden Knights are big spenders and perennial contenders. It’d be unfair to expect their system to land much higher than the No. 29 slot they’ve been assigned. 

Despite their low ranking, this is not a prospect pool short on potential NHLers. 

The Golden Knights’ emphasis on intelligence, off-puck acumen, and size has given them a handful of prospects that track as potential NHLers, albeit in depth roles. 

And they have one of the prospect sphere’s most skilled players: Brendan Brisson. 

With a season of growth, this prospect pool could significantly rise up next year’s rankings, even without much draft capital.
