Babcock proved to everyone that he’s very much the same coach that “verbally assaulted” Johan Franzén and belittled Mitchell Marner, abusing the power dynamic to look through players’ phones, and he resigned on Sunday night after an NHLPA investigation and before ever running a practice.
Columbus top brass puzzlingly went out of its way to thank Babcock for his time, which brings further questions, which Blue Jackets ownership at least hinted at, of whether Jarmo Kekäläinen and John Davidson should still be running the show.
