What We Learned: Is it hot seat time already?

There it is. You can feel it in the air.

We're a week deep into November, more or less, and already there's a feeling of immense disappointment emanating from a number of NHL franchises. Clubs that were supposed to be better, fanbases where frustrations are boiling over.

That's right, the air is getting colder, but it's officially "hot seat" time across the league.

The thing about changing a coach, I always say, is "who out there is better," and usually there's at least one or two well-regarded ex-bosses on the beach somewhere, just waiting for the phone to ring. Guys that can give a flailing team the swift kick in the ass they need to get back on track ASAP, before things well and truly go sideways.
