Michigan State's Artyom Levshunov thriving on unconventional path before 2024 NHL Draft
EAST LANSING, Michigan – Around the Michigan State hockey offices they jokingly call it “Arty Time.”
As the Spartans finished practice last Wednesday, long after every other player had left the ice, Artyom Levshunov finally made his way to the locker room for a post-practice lift.
About an hour later he swaggered into a conference room with a big smile, shoeless, for one of his first-ever interviews in English. He was slightly delayed because he was getting in an additional set of wrist curls.
“Ok, let’s go, I’m ready,” Levshunov says with a big smile and a handshake.
The No. 6-ranked player on Elite Prospects November ranking for the 2024 NHL Draft, Levshunov is one of the most intriguing prospects from an on-ice and personal perspective.
