What to do with Erik Gustafsson?

After missing nearly a month of action, Adam Fox is back and has retaken his rightful spot on the Rangers’ top power play. Kudos to Erik Gustafsson on a job well done but he was never holding onto that position when Fox returned.

We’ll point out, that Gustafsson produced 11 points in the 10 games that Fox was sidelined. He was a tremendous waiver wire pickup for so many of us. But the good times have ended. You can try and hold out hope that his spot on the second power-play unit will be enough to keep him rosterable - and maybe it will be. But the more likely outcome is he returns to what he was before Fox was hurt and that’s a guy who had four points in 11 games.
