Zeev Buium is shooting up draft charts, but first he's focused on winning at Denver with his brother Shai Buium

DENVER, Colorado – Zeev Buium was sold on attending the University of Denver as a 13-year-old. 

His older brother, Shai Buium, was on his official visit to Denver with Zeev tagging along. 

“We offered Shai and he said, ‘Ok, give me a couple days to think about it,’” Denver coach David Carle remembers. “And I remember Zeev looked at Shai, and gave him this, ‘what the hell are you talking about?’ look. Zeev was ready to commit right then and we weren’t even recruiting him then.”

After taking a couple days to think, Shai Buium committed. A couple years later, when he was now formally a college hockey prospect, Zeev officially made the decision to join his brother at Denver.
