When the Toronto Maple Leafs picked Easton Cowan with the 28th overall pick, they left higher scorers, flashier forwards, and bigger names on the board.
But there wasn’t another player like Cowan.
It was a bet on an unrelenting energy, a unique set of skills, and a sharp upward trajectory.
The early returns are positive. Cowan made a big splash in the preseason before returning to the London Knights. There, he’s already up to 12 goals and 27 assists in just 23 games.
