What We Learned: This Patrick Roy thing could go either way

Real reaction to seeing the news that the New York Islanders had fired Lane Lambert and replaced him with Patrick Roy: Triple-checking that the tweet was from the actual Islanders account.

Anyone can buy a blue checkmark these days, not sure if you've heard that. You can never be too careful. But the account in question had like 600,000 followers and a bunch of them were legitimate hockey people and organizations, so yeah, turned out it was true.

But that legitimacy is something I should have realized immediately upon seeing the news. After all, it's the perfect four-quadrant Lou Lamoriello decision. Audacious, came out of nowhere, doesn't make a lot of sense, probably won't help.
