Fantasy Hockey Features: Kirill Marchenko
The Columbus Blue Jackets are not a good team. They do, however, have a strong prospect pool and some good young players. One of them is Kirill Marchenko who burst onto the scene last season as a goal-scoring threat. This season, he’s found comfort playing with countrymen from Russia. But how high is his ceiling? Can he become a consistent 30 goal scorer? Or perhaps even more? We will dig into those questions and more here.

Marchenko was selected back in 2018 by the Blue Jackets 49th overall. At that point, Marchenko hadn’t really had a standout season. He had a half point-per-game in the MHL, but he was much more impressive in his draft minus one season where he almost had a point-per-game. The two-game nod in the KHL might have swayed the scouts or the strong under-18 World Junior Champio
