Brandt Clarke has been a highly touted prospect since he was drafted eighth overall in 2021 by the Los Angeles Kings. The now 21-year-old is on the precipice of becoming a full-time NHLer and he’s knocking on the door with style. But just how soon will Clarke realize his full fantasy potential? What kind of production can we reasonably expect? Could he approach point-per-game production as a defenceman? We will dig into those questions and more!

The OHL did not have a season in 2020-21 so players like Clarke had to figure out alternatives. Clarke decided to play in Slovakia for HC Nove Zamky, where his older brother Graeme was also playing. That league doesn’t have a strong track record of producing NHLers, but it was a good option for Brandt to play in a competitive league, surrounded by a
