Fantasy Hockey Feature: Philip Broberg's polarizing potential
Philip Broberg has been a bit of a polarizing prospect since he was selected eighth overall by the Edmonton Oilers in 2019. Much of the negative narrative surrounds who the Oilers could have had like Trevor Zegras who went one pick later to the Anaheim Ducks or Matt Boldy who went 12th to the Minnesota Wild. Considering how much Edmonton has and still needs goaltending, Spencer Knight would have been an interesting choice who went 13th to the Florida Panthers. Regardless of all that, Broberg is still waiting for his chance to be a full-time NHLer. When he is, what is his ceiling? Can he be a top-pairing guy? We’ll dig into those questions and much more.
