Scouting reports on the prospects dealt at the 2024 NHL trade deadline

Prospects and picks are the currency of the NHL trade deadline. It's all pretty straightforward: If you want to improve now, you're going to have to do it at the expense of tomorrow.

For contending teams, it's a worthwhile trade-off. Your core is only going to be able to contend for so long, whether that's because of injuries, age, or salary, and so what good is a prospect or a pick that's three or four years out when a Stanley Cup is already in sight?

If you're a rebuilding team, though, you can wait those players out. We saw 11 prospects change teams at the deadline, bringing with them hope to their new organization. It may not seem like a large number, but it's more than we usually see dealt at this time of year.

What follows is a series of updated scouting reports on those players.
