Winnipeg Jets acquire Tyler Toffoli from New Jersey Devils

The Winnipeg Jets landed one of the top targets available on Friday, trading for Tyler Toffoli from the New Jersey Devils.

The return on the trade is still yet to be announced.

Toffoli has 44 points in 61 games with New Jersey, and has won a Stanley Cup in his career with the Los Angeles Kings.

In the Western Conference arms race the Jets have been pushing to add a winger to a team that's battling with the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche for top spot in the Central Division.

With Toffoli the Jets now better lineup against the Stars and Avalanche.

Between Toffoli, Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele, Sean Monahan, and Nikolaj Ehlers, the Jets now have a top-six that effectively leads the way above an already solid bottom-six.
