Why has Wisconsin hit the skids?
It's hard to say what's going on with Wisconsin.
They've been one of the best teams in the country basically all season, but this weekend, they crashed out of the Big Ten tournament against sub-.500 Ohio State. They lost the series 2-1, but were outscored 8-5 (if you don't count a Badgers empty netter).
While their at-large bid to the NCAA tournament is assured — no combination of wins and losses for all the teams left standing could ever bump them out — this is no doubt an ignominious end to elite coach Mike Hastings' first Big Ten campaign. While the NCAA tournament opportunity is still there, the team will have to wait two full weeks to find out when and where they're playing next, and against whom. Depending on the draw, it will take another five or six days before they play their first
