2024 NCAA tournament Selection Sunday bracket breakdown

The NCAA tournament bracket is set, and you can feel free to start making your travel plans.

The participants in each of the four regional sites – Springfield, Mass.; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Providence, R.I.; and Maryland Heights, Mo. – have been assigned by the committee, and 

The No. 1 team had a regional relatively close by, which of course made them easy to place. The same is true for the No. 2 seed, but an NCAA rule about playing a conference opponent in the first round prevented them from actually playing there.

And that created a lot of cascading chaos for how the committee handled things when sending certain teams to their most desirable locations.
