Playoff Pool Primer - Selecting the right star forwards

At the time of writing, there are still two playoff spots available in the Eastern Conference, but the purpose of this article is to highlight which high-end targets to pick for postseason fantasy hockey leagues and pools. Upsets happen often, but as good as Travis Konecny is, he would not be a top draft target even if the Philadelphia Flyers qualified. 

The next two articles will highlight top fantasy hockey playoff targets with today’s focus being on forwards. 

The Top Three

It is very likely both Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon are the first two picks off the board given their elite production and high-end teams with Leon Draisaitl probably third. If their respective teams make a deep run and stay healthy, any of them could lead the postseason in points, so that makes sense.
