Let's say you're a franchise with a youngish roster that lucked its way into looking like it could be playoff-competitive this season, and then wasn't.

Let's say you're a franchise who have spoken openly about wanting to take on more accountability.

Let's say you need to hire a new coach.

Who would you hire? You can pick anyone. Well, okay, no. You can pick anyone who's not currently coaching a playoff team, and maybe not some of the flashier-named guys that were recently fired by their previous employers. And probably none of the coaches who are mostly not coaching because of bad stuff they did.
