2024 Stanley Cup Playoff Preview: Florida Panthers vs. Boston Bruins

Once the Florida Panthers finally defeated their cross-state rival in Round 1, we were guaranteed an Atlantic Division rematch. While a match-up against the Toronto Maple Leafs may have been more chaotic, the narratives at play in a series that pits them against the Boston Bruins will do just fine.

For Boston, this is a chance at redemption. Last year's “Last Dance” run ended with a humiliating 3-1 series lead squandered to the Panthers. Will 2024's “Last Dance (Bonus Track)” end in another defeat? Unlike 2023, when the Bruins were the massive favourites, they enter this series with little momentum and as huge underdogs, but do they have a chance at getting by a Florida team that has gathered nothing but steam since game five in Boston last time around?

For Florida, this is a measuring stick
