Memorial Cup 3 Stars: Moose Jaw reaches semifinal with vital depth scoring
SAGINAW, Michigan – The Memorial Cup playoff teams are set, with the Moose Jaw Warriors advancing to the semifinal game with a 5-3 win over the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
It was all Moose Jaw early on. The Warriors overwhelmed the Voltigeurs in the offensive zone with their quick breakouts and cycle game. But after stretching their lead to 3-0, they let their foot off the gas, giving Drummondville life. Two Voltigeurs goals less than a minute apart made it a one-goal game heading into the third period.
