Jett Luchanko is one of those players.
The speedy forward went from a fourth-liner in the 2022-23 season to Guelph's No. 1 centre and power play creator, claiming the role Matthew Poitras' early jump to the NHL opened.
Entering the season, Luchanko looked like a mid-round candidate. After a breakout start and steady rise, he could be picked as high as the mid-first round.
