EP Rinkside Transaction Grades for the 2024 NHL offseason

Welcome, friends, to the Elite Prospects 2024 NHL summer transaction live blog.

Your old pal RL is here once again with grades and takes on most of the stuff that takes place over the next few weeks as the draft approaches and then the free agency window opens.

Will your team be the big winner? The big loser? One of the 30 teams somewhere in the middle? The answer to those questions is a hardy and unequivocal “yes.”

But first, a word of warning: If you're here looking for some beautiful perfect take about the 28-year-old AHL veteran your team signed on July 17, I have nothing for you on that. No disrespect to those players but I just cannot have an opinion (unless that guy played college hockey, in which case I will say he's good no matter what).

Actually, one more word of warning before I get to it: Unless a deal is more or less confirmed, I'm not gonna grade it. I cannot be in the business of giving out grades to rumors and then it turns out that rumor was partly or entirely wrong. Then I have to do two grades! I don't know about you, but I'm trying to work as little as possible in the summer. If you're a real go-getter, you can submit a grade in the comments section and I will see if it's worth including. What? We don't have a comments section? Jeez, that's just too bad.

Anyway, let's get to it.
