Comparing the best forward prospects in the 2024 NHL Draft
The 2024 NHL Draft class will be remembered for its many high-end defencemen, but it also contains an equally interesting, top-end forward group.
There’s Macklin Celebrini at the top. At this point, you probably know everything about his skill set and strengths. He outclasses every skater in the draft in most categories. There’s no debate to be had there. He just wins out every time.
So, in this comparison exercise, we’re going to leave him out and only focus on the rest of the forwards featured in our top-10: Ivan Demidov, Cayden Lindstrom, Tij Iginla, Berkly Catton, and Beckett Sennecke.
To give you a better indication of these players' strengths and weaknesses, how they compare, why we chose to rank them the way we did, and why your organization may select one rather than the other, we’ll reorder them based on specific categories.
This exercise will hopefully enable you to develop your own view of these prospects and determine which one you would most like to see your team add to its system.
