This time last year, Frank Nazar appeared to be falling behind. Hip surgery erased most of his draft-plus-one season, and he was far from his usual dynamic self in the 13 games he played.
There were lots of questions, all of which Nazar quickly shut down with one of the best bounce-back seasons in recent memory.
By season's end, Chicago's 13th overall pick was one of the best players in college hockey, played a starring at the World Juniors, and then made his first three NHL appearances – scoring in his first game, too.
In the process, Nazar not only returned to the form that made him a top prospect two years ago but even exceeded it.
