What We Learned: Questions now abound at top of Pacific Division
Basically all the big news in the NHL over the past week has revolved around a handful of teams, and it's thrown the Pacific Division into chaos.
First, the Edmonton Oilers declined to match the St. Louis Blues' offer sheets for Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway, which was an unexpected outcome. And while losing both players is, in itself, not the biggest deal in the world — they would have been contributors but not crucial pieces for a team that ought to be up there in Presidents' Trophy conversations — getting Ty Emberson and shipping out Cody Ceci leaves the Oiler blue line looking a little thin.
