The USHL and NCAA's most improved players in the 2023-24 season and how they did it
After highlighting 12 of the CHL's most improved players recently, it's time to look at the most improved in the USHL and, by extension, the NCAA.
When it comes to player development, there might not be a more fascinating league than the USHL. Between the larger lineups, more evenly distributed ice time, and massive variance in tactics across the 16-team league, there is no shortage of opportunities for players to go from depth roles to star players. Add in the U.S. National Development Team Program and the looming NCAA, and the USHL is a league unlike any other.
It's a league that's always improving. Five years ago, the USHL-to-NCAA transition seemed gigantic, but more and more USHLers are becoming top NCAAers far sooner.
It's that transition where we'll start, before moving to developments inside the USHL, as well as highlighting a few NCAA players with particularly interesting development curves.
