EP Rinkside 2024 NHL Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 4-ranked Anaheim Ducks

No organization graduated as many high-end prospects as the Anaheim Ducks did. 

Leo Carlsson and Pavel Mintyukov were instant impact players, while Olen Zellweger finished the season looking in control of the NHL game at times. 

Those three players landed inside last season’s top-15 NHL-affiliated prospects, yet they only slipped two spots in this year’s prospect pool ranking with their graduations. 

The Ducks have the deepest prospect pool in the sport. They use their draft capital as efficiently as anyone in the league. Most prospects have clear NHL dimensions and role – mobile shutdown defender, skilled middle-six creator, top-six scorer, etc. On average, it’s the fifth-tallest pool, too, and no pool has as many effective physical players.
