Future Vision: Viggo Nordlund's speed and skill make him one of the 2025 NHL Draft's more exciting players
Given the depth that Sweden has to offer at the 2025 NHL Draft, certain players are bound to get less praise and coverage than they deserve.
Right now, just as the season is starting in Europe, Viggo Nordlund is near the top of that list.
Last season, the 5-foot-9 winger was one-third of arguably the best line in the entire J20. Together with Oskar Vuollet and Valter Lindberg, the trio ended up leading Skellefteå AIK's J20 team to a championship, with Nordlund himself being the leading scorer during the post-season with a staggering 22 points in nine games.
He also carried that momentum to the U18s, starting as the primary driver of his line in the bottom-six before working himself up to the top-six and having a big-time, three-point performance in the semifinals against Canada.
