Fantasy Focus: Failure to launch, defencemen edition
Well, we're almost there now. The Cup finals are firing up and we're now destined to every second night without hockey. A little methadone trial to help with our withdrawals over the summer months. It's a good thing we have this million-degree weather to keep us busy (out west anyway). Fret not, however, But I'll keep providing tidbits to chew on ahead of next season's fantasy drafts.
In keeping with the trend over the last few weeks, I'll continue to look at the Failure to Launch candidates. Two weeks ago, I decided to dig into a few young centres with lofty pedigree that have failed to take the next step. Last week it was the wingers. This week, it's time to dig into the cats on the blueline. These are players who have struggled to elevate their game on the ice enough to warrant the fantasy hype they held or continue to hold.
