EP Rinkside 2022 NHL Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 19-ranked Los Angeles Kings

The Los Angeles Kings graced the top of the EP Rinkside Prospect Pool Rankings for the last two seasons. It was a testament to their commitment to rebuilding their team the right way. The organization placed a high value on acquiring and holding onto draft picks, as well as targetting prospects from other organizations whenever the opportunity arose. Of course, they were fortunate to land a few lottery selections, too. 

However, the 2022 rendition of the Kings’ pipeline debuts far earlier in the process than their predecessors. This is the result of the club graduating or trading away five of the top-10 prospects from their 2021 list -- including the No. 1 and No. 3 rated players in the system which included the top prospect league-wide in Quinton Byfield.
