Toronto Maple Leafs deal Pierre Engvall to the Islander for third-round pick

The Toronto Maple Leafs have continued to revamp their roster, again.

This time trading Pierre Engvall to the New York Islanders for a third-round pick in 2024.

Engvall will be an unrestricted free agent this summer and had 21 points (9 goals, 21 assists) in 58 games this season.

Engvall joins an Islander team that is currently leading the way in a six-team race for the two Eastern Conference wild card spots.

The move freed up $2.25 million in cap space for Toronto, which has been wildly active throughout the day.
